If you ever meet Kerstyn, she will most likely be dipped in her favorite color - black! Her signature style is edgy with a feminine twist.
Kerstyn Inouye @_DippedInBlack started documenting her lifestyle because she found such inspiration as a teen. "I spent hours on Myspace, Tumblr, WeHeartIt, etc. searching for style inspo, beauty tips, and whatever playful gif I could find." Then Instagram was introduced and the rest was history. "I had just started college at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in San Francisco, and the world was my oyster. Coming from a small town, I loved to share my adventures throughout the city and the fashion industry. Slowly, interest peaked in my outfits, so I took that as a push to share more, and then came the creation of Dipped In Black. It has been a way for me to connect with people and share my love of styling with the world."
Her mission is to inspire others to experience the world and look great doing so. "I am very transparent with my followers in that I can have low days as well. I don’t always feel motivated, put together, or know where I’m going in life, but I persevere. I push forward despite the doubts, and I want to show others that no matter what the obstacle, you can always get through it." Kerstyn believes fashion is a way to express herself. She plays with her style and its formality from day to day. One day it is casual streetwear and another day it is high end. Fashion has also opened the door to new friends and happenings in LA. "Living in LA, there is always some type of event going on, showroom to check out, or brunch to attend, and with that, it places me in an environment of individuals who have the same love for style."
Kerstyn's favorite Lucy Paris pieces are tops. "My favorite tops have the best sleeve details – from the bubble sleeve to the ruffle sleeve, I love it all! It gives the outfit the extra spice without being overbearing." As a quickly growing blogger and stylist, she is well on her way to making an impact in the world of fashion. And she will do it all wearing - black.
